Our Top Tips for RT Exam Success
There are many ways to prepare for your RT exam, but HPTC believes the following guidelines are essential to ensure you are fully ready on exam day:
Verify Eligibility
Confirm that you are eligible by graduating from an accredited program or having your documents approved if you are an internationally trained applicant.
Register and Pay
Register and pay for the exam on or before the deadline. Please note that there are no late registrations.
Review Preparation Resources
Access and review the available exam resources. Your resource review should include:
reading the candidate manual testing your computer and internet connection well before the exam date submitting applications for any academic accommodations reviewing the exam matrix studying the National Competency Framework
Prepare for the Exam
Book several days off work to study and prepare. Avoid working the day before the exam, and give yourself a break the day after.

What to Do on Exam Day
To ensure you’re fully prepared and confident on exam day:

Log on 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time, as the launch sequence can take some time.
Disconnect any extended screens.
Turn off and put away your cell phone.
Have one sheet of blank scrap paper and a pen/pencil ready.
Ensure your webcam is working and turned on.
